June may be the end of the school year. Still, it is the beginning of OvidiuRo’s busiest season – when the team kicks into high gear preparing to make use of kindergartens that would otherwise remain shuttered all summer across Romania. They train teachers, provide equipment and books, and visit the resulting two-week summer programs that engage kids with fun, educational activities.
Remarkably, hundreds of teachers cut into their summer vacation to take advantage of the training and resources OvidiuRo provides. That so many teachers, year after year, volunteer their summer time-off to attend training, go door to door recruiting kids, and then teach for two weeks (without air-conditioning!) demonstrates how much they care about their students and value OvidiuRo’s support.
